TYPES OF MASSAGES OFFERED
Deep tissue massage therapy
Deep tissue massage involves applying firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles). It's used for chronic aches, old musculoskeletal injuries, poor posture problems, chronic overuse strains and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.
PARID NeuroFascial reset
NFR is soft tissue, movement based, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous system’s role in alleviating tension and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. To prepare for this massage treatment, one must wear comfortable, loose cloth, as the active release techniques do not require a therapist to apply any oil.
TMJD massage therapy
Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders (TMJ disorders) are problems that affect the chewing muscles and joints that connect your lower jaw to your skull. Thus TMJD massage treatment aims at restoring the muscular balance of the jaw by releasing trigger points, joint capsule tension and bringing intra/extra oral muscles to its proper range of motion and function.
Cupping massage therapy
Cupping therapy is a form of deep massage, affecting the body up to four inches into the tissues. Using suction, cupping massage creates a partial vacuum that helps tissues release toxins, activate and clear blood vessels and promote local healing. Most traditional massage therapy uses positive pressure and compression to manipulate tissues. Cupping uses negative pressure, stretching tissue from underlying structures. It greatly complements myofascial release, deep tissue work and manual lymphatic drainage.
Relaxation and passive stretching massage therapy
Relaxation treatment using Swedish massage techniques in combination with passive release method in order to restore peripheral nervous system to its parasympathetic mode (relaxing, stress-free state of mind and body) and promote blood flow, bring down muscle tension and stimulate digestion.
